A live stage performance of KISS THE SKY ’s tribute to the great Jimi Hendrix is like nothing else ever done before, anywhere in the world. It is a total Hendrix musical time machine that takes the audience on a complete immersion into Hendrix history - live, before their very eyes (and ears).
KISS THE SKY faithfully RE-CREATES some of Hendrix’s famous performances in historically accurate detail - the period specific guitars and Jimi’s famous Marshall stacks, his guitar effects, accurate and authentic wardrobe, and his bombastic theatrics and unmatched stage presence:
1967 Monterey Pop Fest - the first pop music festival ever and was made famous by Hendrix’s guitar burning set.
1969 Woodstock - Hendrix headlines the biggest music festival of all time and gave it a historic moment with his famous Star Spangled Banner solo.
1970 Hendrix with the Band of Gypsys and their iconic Fillmore sets as the 1st all black rock band to have a record breaking LIVE album.
The 1970 Isle of Wight British festival featured Hendrix headlining to a record of over 600,000 people.

Jimy Bleu is famously known as the last living protege of Jimi Hendrix, having crossed paths with the legend in 1968 at New York City's famed School for the Arts. Hendrix immediately took notice of Bleu's shared name, left-handed style, and uncanny ability to replicate his techniques - including playing behind his back , over his head, and with his teeth. He is the ONLY person on the planet to play Hendrix with upside-down guitar strings! (right-handed guitar played left-handed!)
Bleu later studied at Berkeley College of Music, became a signed Columbia Records artist, and eventually came to lead "Kiss The Sky", a show that has toured internationally and has shared the stage with Jimi Hendrix alumni including Billy Cox, Juma Sultan, Gerardo Velez, and Buddy Miles (dec.),
Kiss The Sky performs with authentic 1960's-era gear; Fender Stratocasters, Marshall amps, Vox wah pedals - playing all of Jimi's greatest hits; Foxy Lady, Purple Haze, Voodoo Child, Hey Joe, Machine Gun, Wild Thing, The Star Spangled Banner and more.
